A grand ceremony once in ten year is celebrated by Hindus on the Island of the Gods, or commonly called Tawur Agung Panca Wali Krama 2019 which takes place in the center at Pura Agung Besakih as the largest temple in Bali island. In its implementation, Tawur Agung Panca Wali Krama lasts for approximately 42 days from March to April 2019.
During the Tawur Agung Panca Wali Krama ceremony, Besakih Temple as a tourist attraction (DTW) on Bali island is still allows tourists to visit. And in anticipation, The Operational Management of Besakih Temple has broadcast news about the traffic conditions around Besakih on their social media.
Nevertheless, the tight traffic situation from and towards Besakih did not dampen the intention of tourists to visit the Besakih Temple. This is proven by the number of total tourist that visits during March - April 2019 which amounted to 25,041 visits with an average visit of 42 domestic tourists per day and 368 foreign tourists per day.
